Putting on Makeup Step By Step

This step by step guide on how to put on makeup should make the procedure easier.

Prepare your face

Start by washing your face with facial cleanser, rinse with clean water and dry with a towel. Use toner on a cotton ball or swab and dab on your skin.  Last but not least, apply moisturizer suitable for your skin type.

Foundation comes first

The easiest way to apply foundation is to dab the liquid or cream on your forehead, nose, cheeks, chin and neck and smooth out with a damp makeup sponge.

Eye shadow

Bring out the color of your eyes with a powdery or creamy eye shadow. Start by applying a light color. Start at your eye lashes and work toward your eyebrows. Using a small brush apply a deeper shade all over your eyelid.

Eye pencil

The use of an eye pencil on the upper and lower eyelids can make your eyes look bigger. Make the line barely visible for a discreet look, or use more for a dramatic look.

Mascara

Mascara makes eyelashes look fuller and longer. Give one or two coats for a subtle or bold look. Always brush upward on the upper eye lashes and downward for the lower lashes.

Warm bronzer

Give your cheeks some color with peachy or pink bronzer. Never use the little brush that comes with the bronzer, but use a really big brush. Dip the brush in the bronzer and dab at the apple of your cheek, and then sweep toward your hairline.

Glossy lipstick

Lipstick gives the finishing touch. Choose from red, pink, brown, mauve or any color you like.

Facial powder

Women with dry skin might want to skip facial powder. Women with oily skin might benefit from it.

When applied right, makeup will make for a more beautiful you.
